Vacancy For Internship, PG/Research Students for 2022-23 with National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development , Siri Institutional Area, Hauz Khas, New Delhi, Deadline: 31st March, 2022.

 

Eligibility: PG/Research Students

Aim of internship:

To familiarize the interested and willing PG/Research students with the overall process of training and research in Women & Child Development schemes and programmes.  It is neither a job nor any such assurance for a job in NIPCCD or elsewhere.

Duration: May, 2022- August, 2022

Nature of work:

1. Internship will be available to Post Graduate (PG) and Research Students during their holidays, who are willing to have an exposure/familiarization to overall processes involved in the child development, women development.

2.Each Intern will be provided with a minimum logistic support i.e. office space with access to intercom facility and computer facility.

3.The interns would be attached with any of the Additional/Joint Director in charge of specialized Divisions e.g. Child Development, Women Development, Training, Public Cooperation and Regional Directors in charge of NIPCCD Regional Centres located at Bengaluru, Guwahati, Lucknow, Indore and Mohali. Such interns may also be sent to different States/ UTs to study the functioning of AWCs, Children Homes, etc. and may be associated with Social Audit of such AWCs and Children Homes. They may be required to spend at least 50% of their time of internship in field with concrete assignments. They will be entitled for TA/DA as applicable to the regular staff of the Institute drawing Grade Pay of Rs. 4200/- only during their field visit.

4.These interns will be required to present a brief report/paper at the end of their assignment highlighting their observations and the suggestions, if any.

5.Certificates will be issued to the interns at the end of their internship.

Internship Opportunity – The Pacific (ESCAP), Sub Regional Office for South and South-West Asia (ESCAP-SSWA), Based in New Delhi.

Duration : 2- 6 Months

Eligibility :

(a) be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or

(b) be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent); or

(c) have graduated with a university degree (as defined above) and, if selected, must commence the internship within a one year period of graduation.

About the Role :

-the intern is responsible for contributing to the research project (s) related to the work programme of SSWA for the implementation of the SDGs. The topic of the project will depend on the intern’s background, skills, and interest.

(a) Regular monitoring of relevant developments, policy trends and news articles related to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs in the sub region;

(b) Monitor and collect details on national policies on selected sustainable development issues of ESCAP-SSWA member States

(c) Collect data, generate figures and tables, describe and analyze the tables and results to support ESCAP-SSWA staff in related research and analytical work

(d) Attend conferences, seminars, meetings and other events and provide written highlights and briefing notes

(e) Provide administrative, organizational and conference management support for ESCAP-SSWA events

(f) Other activities as may be decided by the supervisor
